Perfect Parachute Drops
The drop
Every match starts 115 metres above the canyon. You freefall first — steer with WASD or the joystick to pick your landing zone — and the parachute opens automatically near the ground, so you never have to worry about splatting.
Where to land
Landing near crates and torches means quick cover and pickups. The centre of the map has the most loot but also the most danger; the canyon edges are quieter, letting you grab medkits and shield cells before the fighting starts.
Steer like a pro
During freefall you move fast — use it to cover distance. Once the chute opens you slow down and gain fine control for a pinpoint landing. Aim for high ground when you can: starting a level above your enemies is a free advantage.
First 10 seconds
The enemies hold their fire for a few seconds after you land. Use that grace period to grab a shield cell, check the minimap for red dots, and pick your first target before they pick you.
